@ellie555rose To repair the game, open your App game library and select Sims 4 > Manage > Repair. If that doesn't help, please try playing in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content.

Where there's a new folder, move the files from the old Sims 4 folder to the new one, rather than the folder itself. For example, move the files inside Tray, not the entire Tray folder. I would still suggest running the PowerShell commands too, for the overall health of your system, even if Sims 4 is running fine now.

Clear Origin's cache and repair the game: open your Origin game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Repair. Put Origin in offline mode before trying to play.
