The desk for work is a sit/stand desk and even though its for work I wanted to add RGB to it without adding Synapse to my work computer.

If there was a way to manually install the inf files so windows would see the usb drivers and then easily detect by fan and rgb controller, that would at least be some comfort

You can connect multiple addressable RGB devices, as long as the LED count doesn't exceed 80 on 1 port, or 240 total. There are 6 addressable headers on the Razer Chroma Addressable RGB Controller, and you can daisy-chain your ARGB devices to have more connected.
