You might also try resorts in the area if there are any, when I visit Yosemite I often see rental signs up around the hotels.

My friends rent snowshoes from REI when they come snowshoeing with me, I think they're $15 to rent for a day. And depending on what trail you take, you may not need snowshoes at all. Many of the well traveled trails are packed down and you only really need a pair of micro spikes for traction-snowshoes would be unnecessary and heavy.

Dec 12, 2019 · It’s on Rt. 219, before you turn on Rt. 66 to head up the mountain. You can also rent from Snowcreek Mtn. Sports, which is on the mountain between Snowshoe and Silvercreek. They are owned by the same company and will most likely be cheaper than renting from Snowshoe, unless Snowshoe offers some sort of lift ticket and rental combo.

Aug 24, 2022 · Folks in Meetup Groups often have extra pairs for folks to borrow. And, you can rent pairs from the Galena Visitor’s Center or REI for ~$5-10. Some ski places also rent snowshoes. Also Great Basin Outdoor School does guided snowshoe hikes which include the use of their snowshoes for donation. Happy trails!
