The Spindle Pulley and Motor Drive Pulley. These pulleys are called Reeves Drives and they enable the operator to variably change the speed of the lathe while its running.

I have looking at the Nova 4 jaw chuck (described on ebay as a "Nova Lathes 1"-8 TPI Direct Thread Midi Wood Turning Chuck 48111 New"). The vendor is elling it for $82.50 including shipping. My lathe has a 1"-8 spindle.

No problem, I ordered a new one from Delta, they said a week to 10 days. After not hearing anything for 3 weeks I E-mailed them back and they said, yeah about that, 30 to 90 days.

Question on Reeves drive for Delta Lathe
Ok. I picked up a Delta 46-715 lathe really cheap. I have read there have been some issues with these lathes but figured it was cheap enough with a little TLC it could get me maybe turning. I don't imagine myself being a big wood turner and if I could get this cleaned up to work for little project here or there that would be great.

2022年1月28日 · Am currently in the process of converting my 46-715 to the treadmill motor right now. I'm having trouble acquiring pulleys that fit the metric shafts of the lathe (25mm) and the motor (17.5mm) and will allow me to use a standard type A V-Belt (really want to use a link belt.) I'm closing in on finding the needed pulleys, however. HTH, Scrooge
