There's a reason good ol zip ties and bias plies calls them shipping crates lol. It's a Mopar shipping crate for the best diesel engine ever bestowed upon mankind! The radio pisses me the fuck off. I've already put one super overpriced Uconnect screen in mine, hoping it lasts. It still does dumb shit from time to time.

Ford: 2017 - 2019. Golden years for Ford, best diesel sold by Ford and best diesel on road for these years. Solid transmission, easy to delete and tune. Gobs of power, tons of creature comforts and technology. No worries about rust as it is alumiduty. Only downside to this year of truck is the CP4. Ram: 2020 - now. Not horrible to delete and tune.

5.9 common rail. Best engine hands down. Easy to fix. Great MPG. All duramaxs are more expensive to fix. Lb7 injectors and injection pump are 3 times the labor as a Cummins. 7.3 is ok. Personally I think they are gutless even with a tune.

2022年4月14日 · LML is a sold truck with many benefits over the LMM. Especially 2015+ K2XX trucks with the updated interior. I'd personally skip the GMT-900 trucks. If you're interested in creature comforts they're no better than GMT-800 trucks, personally I think they're worse. The LML's weak points are well documented and not anything major.

2023年1月10日 · Old diesel trucks are simpler to work on, but cost lots now compared to a few years ago. They aren’t cheap to work on, maintain, or drive. Unless you’re towing heavy loads all day you won’t save money compared to a gas truck. The only cheap diesels are ancient non turbo trucks that require a ton of work to be brought up to speed again.

I personally love the chevy diesels with the duramax alison combo. The motor defiantly isnt as good as the cummins but its the transmission where the trucks shine. Chrysler hasnt had the best luck with transmissions and the Cummins diesel is no exception. Motors are far easier to rebuild than trannys comeing from someone who has done both

I did a little calculation based on my experience with the powerstrokes. This is rough estimation from memory, so the numbers may not represent current costs. The fuel economy for the diesel is best case for a combined driving cycle, 18mpg. Fuel economy for gas is a conservative estimate for what I see in a 4wd GMC 5.3L Vortec.
