After his combative interview with Tucker Carlson went viral, Senator Ted Cruz fired back at the conservative commentator.

"On the one side is Ted Cruz, who wants war with Iran. On the other is Tucker Carlson, who thinks Ted Cruz doesn't know shit about Iran," says Daily Show host Jordan Klepper in the clip above, before playing a clip of Carlson asking a struggling Cruz about the country's population.

Ted Cruz went on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News show in 2022, he was there to make amends. The Texas Republican’s offense was having called the January 6, 2021, attack on the US Capitol a “violent terrorist attack.
