A new discovery found strange structures resembling spiderwebs across a non-explored area of Mars – and NASA think it could link to alien life on the Red Planet

There's no shortage of cool features of mysterious origins to be found on the surface of Mars, but the next one that NASA scientists have in their crosshairs is definitely one to keep your eyes peeled for.

In 2011, the United States launched an Atlas V rocket to look for life on Mars. Aboard was the rover Curiosity, which would explore the planet, searching for signs of life. In 2023, Irish writer Paul Lynch won the Booker Prize for his dystopian novel Prophet Song, a fictional account of tyranny and war described as "soul shattering."
