Abdullah Mason is heading toward a world title shot after stopping Jeremia Nakathila in their impromptu main event Saturday night in Norfolk, Virginia.

Abdullah Mason defeated Jeremia Nakathila by TKO when the fight was stopped one second into the sixth round of the lightweight fight. The ringside physician halted the fight because Nakathila said he could not see out of his left eye because of a cut.

On a rough night for the Davis family in their home of Virginia, Abdullah Mason stepped up to the plate. Mason stopped Jeremia Nakathila in round five, securing himself the future of the lightweight division.
