Snoop Dogg is headed into space for a starring role in an upcoming sci-fi movie from director Luc Besson (The Fifth Element). The rapper will not only top-line The Last Man, but according to Variety,

Snoop Dogg will star in and co-produce Luc Besson’s next movie, an original sci-fi movie titled “The Last Man.” Although the post-apocalyptic plot is under wraps, it’s believed to be a “Planet of the Apes”-inspired movie and may be connected in some ways to Dogg’s 2009 song “Last Man Standing.

Snoop Dogg has been cast in Luc Besson’s new sci-fi movie, The Last Man. Besson is known for making sci-fi movies such as 1997’s The Fifth Element, 2014’s Lucy, and 2017’s Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.
