Naturally, Intel isn't taking it sitting down and has announced its new Intel Pentium Silver and Intel Celeron range that addresses those concerns. Or at least one of them.

The new 1.7GHz Celeron is based around the same architecture behind the Pentium 4, while the 1.4GHz Celeron is based around the same architecture as the Pentium III.

According to the latest pricing information, the new Celeron 220 Eee Box will be priced at NT$7,988 ($239) standalone or NT$11,900 ($355) with the 19-inch display.

Celeron E3400 is the latest addition to the new dual-core Wolfdale 45nm-based generation of Celerons. Celeron 440 is a single core CPU based on Conroe-L, 65nm.
