Ancient Roman gold and silver coins were found in 2019 by a metal detectorist in Suffolk. Years later, the coins made an impressive showing at auction, earning the finder thousands.

The silver and bronze coins were produced between the reigns of Emperors Vespasian (69-79AD) and Maximinus II (305-313AD). The collection will be sold in a number of lots on Wednesday.

The coin is to be sold at auction at Noonans Mayfair in London as part of a sale of Ancient Coins and Antiquities on Tuesday October 22. Its pre-sale estimate is £5,000 to £6,000.
