Macy's tells customers Greenbriar Mall store is closing. The store, originally a branch of Rich's, has anchored the southwest Atlanta mall since it opened in 1965.
Since 1965 Macy's, which originally opened as Rich’s department store, has been at Greenbriar Mall. Moona Naima Mohammed opened her store, Perfect Dress Atlanta, at Greenbriar two years ago.
Greenbriar Mall, located at I-285 and Arthur Langford Jr. Parkway and a longtime anchor of the community, is at a “crossroads” after the Macy’s at Greenbriar announced last month it was closing.
