A British woman claimed she lost her vision and became violently ill after drinking vodka at the Nana Backpacker Hostel in Vang Vieng, Laos where six people have since died

A British backpacker who drank at the same Laos hostel as Australian victims Holly Bowles and Bianca Jones has revealed she became severely sick two days before the Australian teenagers were hospitalised.

A British backpacker has died in a suspected methanol poisoning case after allegedly being served free drinks in Laos. Simone White, a solicitor from Orpington in Kent, is the fifth tourist to die following the incident in the Vang Vieng area.
