The royal skipped this year's Variety performance because she “didn’t want to spoil anyone else’s enjoyment with her cough.”

The Queen, 77, has reluctantly pulled out of the Royal Variety Performance on Nov. 22, which she was due to attend alongside her husband King Charles, 76. The announcement from Buckingham Palace came about four hours before she was scheduled to head out to Royal Albert Hall in London.

Camilla’s health battle comes on the heels of a year full of medical woes for the royal family. In February, King Charles announced he was diagnosed with cancer, only to be followed by the Princess of Wales, aka Kate Middleton, sharing her own cancer diagnosis in March.
