Scan Design Furniture, which once had nine stores in Washington and Oregon, focused on selling Scandinavian and European furniture. The chain was founded by Jens and Inger Brunn in 1964.

EVERETT — The last remaining Scan Design Furniture store in Lynnwood will close by the end of 2025, spelling the end of what was once a multi-store chain.

Mary Larsien-Cantrell opened the Scan Design furniture store in downtown Fargo 10 years ago. Since then, she has expanded the size of the Fargo store and opened a store in Grand Forks.
