China raised its total retaliatory tariff on U.S. imports to 125% today after the Trump administration clarified yesterday that U.S. duties on Beijing are actually 145% because of earlier fentanyl-related levies.

In a dramatic move Wednesday, Trump authorized a 90-day pause in the higher tariffs for most countries he announced last week while maintaining a 10% universal tariff.

U.S. container imports rose 11% year over year in March, continuing this year's outsized monthly gains, but U.S. President Donald Trump's escalating tariffs are dimming the outlook for later this year,
