Yanks agree to terms with Grisham, Brubaker; two non-tendered
The Yankees non-tendered infielder Jon Berti and left-hander Tim Mayza ahead of Friday’s 8 p.m. ET deadline, the club announced, making them both free agents. New York did agree to terms on new one-year contracts with right-hander JT Brubaker and outfielder Trent Grisham.

Berti was projected to make $3.8 million and Mayza $4 million, according to MLB Trade Rumors’ annual estimates, in their final arbitration years. The Yankees also announced they avoided arbitration with Trent Grisham and JT Brubaker.

The deadline to make these decisions expired at 8pm ET, with the Yankees re-signing outfielder Trent Grisham and pitcher JT Brubaker but declining to tender a contract to infielder Jon Berti and lefty reliever Tim Mayza.
