STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The NYPD arrested an 18-year-old Clifton man in connection to possessing an illegal firearm, authorities said. Zaquan Harris, of the 200 block of Park Hill Avenue, was apprehended on Saturday for allegedly possessing a loaded gun on the 140 block of Park Hill Avenue shortly after 8 p.m. on Nov. 30, police said.

An NYPD detective is accused of producing ghost guns inside a Staten Island apartment, sources told PIX11 News. Anthony Sciortino, a 13-year veteran of the force who works in narcotics out of the 120th Precinct,

Det. Third Grade Anthony Sciortino, 35 – a 13-year department veteran now assigned to the department’s 120th Precinct – was arrested Tuesday and arraigned on a 16-count indictment, with allegations dating back to 2020,

The victim was stabbed in the abdomen inside what police describe as a group residence on Travis Ave. near Nehring Ave. in New Springville.

Anthony Sciortino, a detective in Staten Island, was also charged with falsifying police records in what prosecutors said was a “brazen act of misconduct.”

Anthony Sciortino, a member of the NYPD since 2011, is a former member of Narcotics Bureau Staten Island and current third-grade detective with the 120th Precinct.
