LYNCHBURG, Va. – A 16-year-old boy is in serious condition after a shooting incident in Lynchburg Friday, according to LPD. Police say officials responded to call regarding an individual who had been shot at 2:40 p.m. and upon arrival at the scene police found a 16-year-old boy with what appeared to be a gunshot wound in the abdomen.

A teenage boy was taken to Lynchburg General Hospital in serious condition Friday afternoon after a single shot to the abdomen at The Timbers apartment complex, according to police.

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — A teenager was injured in a shooting at The Timbers apartments in Lynchburg, LPD confirmed Friday afternoon. ABC13 was first on scene at the complex, where police say they received a call around 2:40 p.m.

The Lynchburg Police Department is reporting a malicious wounding at Timbers Apartments in Lynchburg. Details are currently limited; however, police are currently on the scene and are advising travelers and residents to use alternative routes.
