Kim Novak, the glamorous and fiercely independent star of one of the greatest films ever made, Alfred Hitchcock’s “Vertigo,” will be honored with a lifetime achievement award at the Venice Film Festival this fall.

Kim Novak, the unforgettable star of Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo, officially retired from the screen in the early 1990s. But this summer, she will return to the spotlight to receive the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement at the 2025 Venice Film Festival.

Veteran US actress Kim Novak, who rose to fame in the 1950s and 1960s, and in particular for her role in Alfred Hitchcock's "Vertigo," is to receive a Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement at this year's Venice International Film Festival.
